I wanted to bring this quote over from a thread in Mid-life Crisis where I visit friends occasionally.
Try not to take S19 behavior personally. If you take it personally, you've given him you to wrestle with, instead of himself or your H. Not taking his behavior personally gives you the power and leadership which you have to have right now, for you and for them.
Although she was addressing a problem with a 19yo son, I think you could substitute any person for the S19.
Don't give away your power!
