Blast! I got a flat tire, and because I have an AWD, have to replace all four tires. I've just cleaned out my savings a/c to fix my D20's car. Car's problems always seem to come in groups, stretching the dollars until it breaks. Thankfully, H has been good about it. In fact, he's been pretty nice lately. I hope he doesn't think I'm going to change my mind about the D, 'cause I'm not.

I think I'd get a second opinion about replacing all 4 tires. I would get the same type of tire as the other three. I've never heard of replacing all four tires unless the other three were in bad shape. If that were the case, people would be replacing tires all of the time when they got flats, etc.
Do you have a spare? Use it for the time being and do the research to get the best deal on your tire.
Sit quietly, the answers will reveal themselves when you least expect them to. The past is gone, the present is a gift and you need to focus on today, allow the future to reveal itself when it is ready.
Being Me, you've hung on for years. Juz want you to know that I understand what a hard thing this is to do. Just do what you think is fair. Sorry it came to this but it also means you get to move on and get what you want and need out of life. Take care.
Thanks everyone on suggestions re tires - I called several tire places and all of them said the same thing. So, I went to where my mechanic goes, and they gave me a good price. The other tires were wearing down anyway. I live in a small city, and places like Costco would have to order in the type of tire I need ... about 2 weeks. Can't go on my spare tire for that long. Anyway, they weren't much cheaper.
Thanks Wii for your comments. I am going to have to be tough, and that's not my style unless absolutely necessary. I will follow my lawyer's advice. I was just thinking while I was slowly driving to the next town to have tires changed, that my H could not have had the career he has now if I wasn't there to take care of home and children. I supported him, backed him up. The only other way was for him not to have had a family to begin with. I was, in essence, a single mother for a lot of years. Sometimes, in a strange city. Luckily, I'm pretty tough, and brave (when looking back, I see that now).

Hey, does anyone know if I can give my ol' dog human pain tablets like asprin? She has arthritis and looks like she's in pain. I do give her the joint medication for dogs, but I don't think it helps with pain. She's a husky and is 16 years old, so getting a bit. Her heart is healthy though, so we are not wanting to put her down just for arthritis, unless the pain is too much for her. And, I don't know how to tell.
I'm quite worried about this.

Aspirin is commonly used for pain relief for dogs.
Call and ask your vet what he/she recommends as far as dosage and how often to give it to her. Make sure that the aspirin is buffered and you administer it during meal time to avoid stomach upset or ulcers. Also make sure that anything else you're giving her is not an NSAID when using aspirin as you don't want to overdose her.
Pet places generally sell aspirin that is geared for dogs. Probably pay a bit more for it though.
I think I will try the aspirin, after giving her a treat. But, I will check with the vet for dosage. My poor ol' husky ... she's really much older than most dogs, and still has a spring her step, although she limps occasionally.
H is home now (for who knows how long), and we have so much to deal with before getting the D. D20 was talking to me about H, how she hates him being away, and especially on her birthdays (which was the last couple of times). It's always been me as the permanent parent, and H does the fly in/fly out type of parenting. He's missed out on a lot, sorry to say. But, it was and is his choice.
Got lots of schoolwork to complete for the semester ... keeps me sane. So, off to bed to get some shut-eye. Quiz tomorrow.
later y'all

Being, I sense sadness in your posts even as you say you are done. That's understandable. I was still sad when I got divorced, even though X dragged things out for years.
But I started dating pretty quickly--I was ready then.
