I am glad you are okay. They are reporting that in some places, power will not be restored for two weeks.
I think it's a good idea to volunteer at the beach communities. The storm tore up a lot of the communities to the point of rebuilding from the ground up.

Hey all wife back – picked her up Friday night from airport with my son – ( lots of people telling me WTF am I doing picking her up from the airport – I thought I was her husband ) Since she didn’t take me to the wedding my family is giving me such a hard time sticking it out with her – seems like the devil is working overtime trying to get me to initiate a divorce.
Due to the storm we were still out of power so with no heat. We had no choice but to go to my mom’s house who had heat I was shocked that she agreed to stay there but she did – she was kind and pleasant – while we were there. Saturday morning I got up and got PB & J and a bunch of bread and we made 200 sandwiches for the people decimated by the storm. She still called my parents Mom & Dad and acted like everything was perfectly normal. We got power late on Saturday she walked from my parents house to our home ( about 1 mile) and saw we had power – she called me – we stayed for dinner and then we went home. She unpacked and then we put our son to bed – I watched TV – she didn’t leave the room (which actually annoyed me – I am not used to her being there anymore) She posts on Facebook –“ Hi Everyone - thank you for your concerns. Although we still don't have power at our home thank goodness Michael's parents did and we were able to have a good AND warm night's sleep. We are doing well and just made about 200 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches that Michael took to a church who is going down to New Dorp Beach to hand out to the people and workers down there. We are so very thankful to be safe and warm.” Later she posted on Facebook again – “ We have power at our house!!! I just walked down there from my in-laws house and saw the living room light on - what a wonderful sight :)”
Sunday we got up went to church went through our house and got rid of all the shoes and cloths that we could spare so I could take them to the church. When I was looking through our closet for cloths a brown paper bag dropped from the shelf and inside was 2 sex toys a vibrator and a dildo – this upset me so much but I didn’t say a word just put it back – I thought I was gonna throw up. She would rather use toys them me – OMG – one more bullet in the heart.
We were supposed to go to our parent’s house but she decided she didn’t want to come – I smiled said no problem and I took my son and went. She told me before she left she was looking for a lawyer as soon as she came home. She starts work today after being out of work since May 30th. She took a substantial pay cut but she is working from home. She seemed happy when I left.
I am so peaved about the toys I don’t know how I didn’t blow over it – I have come a long way – very hard to hang in when everyone is telling you to leave – and I am NOT talking to anyone but you guys and my therapist – so I just say I gotta do what I gotta do – but I am thinking more and more I am just an butthead for putting up with this anymore – the I read how some of you did this for 5 years – I am so amazed – but I don’t know how I could possibly last that long.

Sunny, Whatever you do, do not leave your home. Once you leave, it is called abandonment and you do not want her to use this in court.
I'm glad everything has turned out well and you have electricity once again. Of course, she's going to appear normal around others because she needed them for food, warmth and electricity. Now that things have gone somewhat back to normal, she'll proceed w/the divorce.
Your family is a wonderful family and I don't know how they appeared normal around her after what she and her family pulled about the wedding. That just goes to show that your family has class and does rise above the circumstances.

I forgot to tell you how she sat and showed me pictures of the wedding I had to sit and smile - I NEVER EVER EVER know what to say anymore - I WANT TO SAY WHY THE HELL DO I WANT TO LOOK AT YOU FAMILIES WEDDING PICTURES FOR - I have waited on her family hand and foot for 15 years and they treat me like this !!!!UGGGG
