O,how wonderful to come on the board and see that you have all found my new thread!
I'm feeling positive but tired. Had a great evening with gf - early supper,opera (we only go to tragedies so that can have a big cry and this one did that), the live music and performers really moved me, the story was so sad - La boheme. After it finished we got back to my house - not as late as expected - and sat up drinking G&T til 230am!
But gf only sleeps for 4-5hrs each night so we were up at 8am. So the gym was off the list today but I went for a 2.5hr walk in the wood near here w a male friend who's been away for 5wks - it was good to catch up, we always have great conversations.
When we got back to my place there had been a power outage and my internet wasn't working. I had a go and he had a go but neither of us could figure it out - so I said I'll contact H. It's his domain/system, I have no idea.
So, I text H about the outage and that I couldn't figure it out and did he have any ideas. He text back and asked which of 7(!) boxes had no lights on I text back "box 5. Shall i call you - it might be easier?" And then the phone rang and we sorted that out I mentioned something else about the DVD system not working properly - he said to put it on a list for him to do next time he was over. I told him that I'd learned the term - honey do list - we laughed about it He asked how the opera was - so i told him and that i was really tired because of gf's sleep cycle - we talked about needing sleep I asked what he had done this w/e - nothing, big sleeps didn't get up til late and that he still had stomachache I said I'd been walking w m.friend and that he had news - had met someone he liked (finally) and we talked about that and relationship beginnings - including ours Then I asked him about some admin stuff (house insurance renewal 5 nov) that he had mentioned on Friday - I had text about it yesterday but he hadn't ans'd and i'd let it go - he said he'd got the text but was in a "lazy - can't be bothered - frame of mind". I said no worries but could i have the details now - which he gave me Then we talked about the date of the house insurance and that must be the date we exchanged contracts 9 yrs ago - 2003 he said that he'd just started his current job in the September i said -and it was the year we got married BIG pause/silence* He said his ear was getting hot and he was going to go I said no worries, thanks for helping He said no problem I said bye, hope work meetings w x go well He said bye, Punkydo, speak soon
* I can't remember if we talked about anything else after the pause. I definitely remember the pause and my words hanging in the air. Sometimes words leave my lips without me thinking (need to work on that)
Now back on the blanket. I haven't time this week for moping over H not calling/texting me - need to get to the gym, apply for the dream job, work at home a couple of nights, spanish homework, spanish class, do my blog
So, if anyone catches me on here with my panties in a bunch - please refer me to the above list of things I need to be focusing on.
