We are going to a place my W frequents so it would be a bit odd if she shows up.

Rough, buddy, that sentence makes no sense. It wouldn't be odd as she frequents the place and I'd bet you are hoping she does show up.

Not saying that's wrong but just be up front about it. 25 talked about the communication between you and W a few pages back. You do at times, seem to have a P/A way of communication. I used to do that because I was afraid to state my true feelings.

Any way, have fun at the party, just be clear about your motives, at least to yourself.
