Been a while since I have posted. So here goes but not sure where to begin so I guess I will just ramble.
So the past few weeks I feel I have been doing pretty good with detaching. I'm sure that I can tweak it some, but overall I'm doing good. Since the W has been volunteering, she gets home about 9:30 pm, I am always in bed. I leave for work way early, and I never initiate text or phone conversations. When she texts or calls, I do not answer and wait a while before I respond. We actually went about three days without talking, which was actually good for me. I will write later about the continual "cake eating"
Anyway, tonight I had laid out a plan with the kids to have a "camp out" in the living room to watch movies together. We made popcorn and starting watching a couple episodes of Funniest Home Videos and a movie. The W came home about ten minutes into the movie. She went upstairs and changed into comfy clothes. We greeted each other and she kissed and greeted the kids. They asked if she was going to watch the movie with us and she said yes. My D4 was laying on the floor with me, but got up a couple of times to set with W. she only sat with her for a couple of minutes and she came back over to lay with me. My daughter is very affectionate and is always telling me that I'm the "best dad ever" and "I love you SOOOO much" . She is defiantly a daddy's girl. Anyway, while she was laying with me, she was constantly saying these things and rolled on top of me and gave me a huge hug. Again, she said "Daddy, your the best dad ever" . My wife all of a sudden got up and went into the downstairs bathroom. I didn't think anything of it, but she was gone for a long time. She then went upstairs, and again didn't think anything of it. All of a sudden, about 30 mins after she rushed out of the room, she came downstairs dressed up! She didn't say anything, just walked over to the kids, kissed them on the head and told them she loved them. She started to walk out. SIDE NOTE: My D15 had a game tonight(band) so she was away. I had told her earlier of my intentions to go pick her up later when the game was over. Anyway, I said "I assume you are going out" she immediately (and very short) said "yep!" I said "Ok, but how am I supposed to go get D15?" she said in a very smart ass tone, "she's riding home with the (neighbors) . I said o.k. Great. And left it at that.
She hasn't really saw the kids during the week because of her commitments. Now all of a sudden, she leaves the house pissed. It all seems to spawn from my D4 and her affection towards me. Anyone have any advice, comments, or anything?
