Hey Ellie!

I will look for that book. I had the Tightwad Gazette books, still use a lot of her stuff. (Many of her recipies are standards in this house.)

Our house has only been shown 4 times. It is most likely a pricing issue. And the fact that it is so unique that there just are not any compariable properties. We have almost 5,000 sf, on over an acre, 5 bedrooms, 5 baths, expansive Kaneohe Bay/ocean views, Koolau Mountain views, pool, firepit, 4 car carport, one car garage, it is an over-the-top house.

I have said that I won't get too excited about reducing the price until the house gets shown 20 times. Because there are not many houses like ours. It was actually built by the one of Hawaii's "royal" families. If you know Hawaii history, you would know that the man who would be king, grew up in this house. He is one of the exceedingly rich Hawaii trust heirs.

Anyone who buys this house will need a housekeeper and a gardner. We have been doing all the work ourselves. And I feel the stress of maintaining such a large property didn't help our marriage. Not to mension that our initial mortgage was a crazy one done by Washington Mutual, and we took an offer from them to change our mortgage later, but it turns out we should have gotten a lawyer and went to court with it.

I'm glad to hear your son has made such a positive change. I need to get back on my exercise plan. I am maintaining, not losing.

Always good to hear good news!

Aloha,

Wendy

PS I still think that my X and I were suffering from a mutual MLC when we bought this house!
