It can't be a threat, it has to be an action you are willing to follow through on. Otherwise it's all just words. This is where the rubber meets the road if this is the route you are taking.

I'm not saying what you should do just don't paint yourself into a corner you can't get out of or don't get into a situations that isn't tolerable for you.

That's the difficult choice.
