Yesterday was another good one as far as im concerned. After work we had our fantasy football draft. We've got a big league here in the office and the draft is probably the most fun part of the entire year, we order pizza, gather in the conference room and start picking. Its a joy b/c it doesn't matter who you pick when someone will either say thats who they were about to get or rib you for picking that person entirely too soon. We always laugh and have a good time with it and yesterday was no exception.
I picked my son up from church and he said he was staying with me again, that makes 5 nights in a row I think.....i absolutely love that he's doing that b/c we've really missed hanging out with each other, and I think it is also having an effect on her. He sent her a text to tell her he was staying with me and she texted back that I had a package arrive. He had already given me the phone and left the room so I told her it was me not him texting and that I knew what the package was...some of my teams jerseys that didnt get sent with the first oreder...and that I didnt need them until the weekend so it was no big deal.
Then she sent another one about wether we were practicing on Friday or not b/c its supposed to be raining..we are practicing, just moving indoors if its raining and I told her I wouldnt be avaialable to take my son to practice b/c my assistants father passed away and their having the memorial Friday night....this led to her chatting more about his dads illness etc.....she was pretty chatty to say the least....I knew that it wouldnt last too long so I wanted to be the one to end it so I told her i needed to get to bed b/c Tuesday had been a late night and just as I hit send she sent me one that said she was going to bed.
I did send one more that told her she owed me a coke for saying it at the same time as me and she sent back LOL..Night. I know thats simply not much for alot of people on here, but for her to reply back in that manner is a step forward for her so Im in a great mood....and have ZERO expectations.
Love that you had a great evening Carnac, and it ended on a positive note to say the least. YAY!! Funny you sent the text about the coke - that is something me and my X did as well. Happy Thursday to you my friend!
