I don't like heights either but I really want to do the Hot Air Balloon. Maybe if Josh and I get to Sedona we can do it there.
I could not jump out of a plane - that's for sure. Ex did it once. Hmm... wishing his parachute did not... oh never mind - I should not have thought it. LOL
I did Parasailing more than once. One time alone and once tandem with my daughter, Ashley. It was one of the most awesome experiences. I think I really felt safe because it was at Disney (and no way they want to get sued - LOL). I would never do it in "the islands". They just don't seem to have the same set of safety measures.
I just did paddle boarding. It is where you stand on a slightly bigger than normal surf board and balance and paddle. I *loved* it and didn't fall in until an out of control 11 year old came careering towards me and caught the string that connected me to the board, flipped me up in the air and I came crashing into the water. My sister said she heard the screams from the other side of the lake. I came out covered in swan poop.
Lol! Oh Julia, you make me smile! . I did parasailing while on my Disney cruise (the fall before he started the affair). We did it in tandem and ex hates heights but enjoyed the parasailing.
It seems like a pattern going here...these things which should be giving me a rush of some sort, give me peace. It is quiet and beautiful. I just take it all in. No screaming at all.

I can watch paddle boarding out the window. This week I saw a guy paddleboarding with his dog on the board! Cool! I just don't have that kind of balance!
Wow!!! Barb I would love that. This is why I need to move to a place near water. I used to see people paddle boarding in Wellington harbour on my way to work.
Parasailing, again it's the height (my stomach doing flips) thing again.
I seem to be quite a lot about the screaming. I do it a lot involuntarily. A guy tried to take me for a romantic jet ski once, I screamed all the way (totally loved it) but the guy came away with a sore ear and headache, so no romantic dinner for me /
It reassured me when you said you expected your stomach to do flips Kat and it didn't. Also that you achieve serenity! I will strive to this next time...
You need to come here. I own a Jet Ski. I'm on my 3rd. Have been Seadooing for 19 years! Used to be known as "The Terror of 3 Mile Lake" - LOL!
It is fun. But mostly now I go in the boat since Josh will drive. I'm wondering why I even bought a new Seadoo. Must get out on it this evening. That's my fav time. During the week it is quiter - less crazy boaters out there. I peacefully motor along and check out what's going on with ducks and geese and cottage repairs etc.
Consider yourselves invited. We can have a big DB party here. Just like in the old days when 40 plus of us went to Tampa every August for a get together. FUN!
