I think for the first time in this sitch i'm not willing to take whatever morsel he throws my way. At first I felt like I'd hurt him so bad that maybe I didn't deserve his friendship or his trust and now I'm not. He hurt me pretty bad too. And I'm okay deciding how close he is to me.
This flipped around for me big time in the last few days also. especially after chatterbug pointed out no hugs. he doesn't get to get that support from me any longer while he makes me think he's pursuing a D except anything to do with s - then i'll do whatever is necessary. i realized now that that is really important not just for me but for both of us.
brit - you are doing great - and especially for you to realize that you don't have to line up another relationship first and that it's okay to be alone.
