Denver i just want to echo..i am a teacher too and get getting ready to start the new school year and yes while the 2 or three months off is restful for sure, starting agin is stressful beacuse of new kids, parent demands, wanting to get it right and like fig said being 'on' all day. lots of intense personal issues comes along with the teaching, kids own personal problems, home issues, problems to learning, etc.

i am sure the crankiness will subside once the routine is back on track.

you are a great man denver. your compassion and strength is admirable.
