Here's a trick that someone told me on this site. (I think it was MrBond). When these thoughts start entering your mind, just visualize a STOP sign and then replace the thought with something pleasant. I conjure up an image of my D8 with her beautiful smile and that usually does it. For those moments when I just can't shake it, I meditate. It's something I started 3 months ago when I got the bomb and it's been helping me in all sorts of ways. See if there are meditation classes in your area, it's another way to GAL and eet people as well.
