The big (old) dog spent the night walking up and down outside the bedrooms. I shouted go to sleep. This morning I wish I hadn't. There's something that's not right with her back legs or "bum". Sorry - no nice way to say that. She's whining and has her tail tucked unde her legs. Nothing "stuck out" of the aforementioned hole.
Called the vet hours ago. Waiting for a call back and a visit.
Asked the W to keep her eye on her while I popped out to the shop. And then this text back while I as out………

What an absolute B she's become.
I did buy toothpaste (she has major pain) and cigs which I was going to say was from the big dog for looking after her. Now I just don't sodding know.
And just found it why I didn't get a call from the local vet - she did call - no reply because my wonderful W had something better to do so no one here to answer the phone!!!!!!

you need to be consistent and stand by what you say. it's not enough to say it and then less than 24 hrs later do the exact opposite.
and your behavior is seriously passive aggressive here. you buy her smokes and leave her a note, THEN you find out what a [censored] thing she did about the vet call and so you tear up the note and take the smokes away.
that's p/a behavior all the way.
i would seriously think about how you are going to "tell it to her face". just the phrase itself makes me shudder.
it wasn't nice at all what she did - and i can see why you are so pissed - i'm pissed and i don't even know the dog. but your reactionary stance is not going to help you reach your goals
btw - what are your goals/intentions here? do you know?
from where i'm standing they are either 1. looking very mixed up or 2. seem to be propelling you towards doing some really goofy things here.
if you give ANY indication during this time to your wife that you are going to say one thing and possibly do another you are going to lose ALL YOUR CREDIBILITY.
