Bets, let's picture Mr. W as Marlin at the beginning of the movie. That fish wasn't going anywhere near the open water and he didn't care what anyone said. When he finally ventured forth he was pretty nervous, and if it hadn't been for pursuing Nemo he'd have turned back many times. I'm not saying to throw either daughter into a fish tank and then tell Mr. W to get his tail moving...but I think that these guppies are going to have to have to take it very slow when moving into open water. After all...they have been biten by sharks before and they just aren't ready to trust that we won't attack them again.
