No I was celebrating with you that you'd stood up to H and said that he shouldn't tell you how to feel and so I joked that I would tell you that you don't need any additional confidence but then I'd be telling you how to feel.
H texted me this morning to apologize for not coming over last night. Said that he would say that he didn't come by because of the rain but the truth is he forgot. He would come by tonight to drop off money (he still pays a joint bill) but that he couldn't stay long because he had plans.
When I got home I was really sick of being in work clothes so I threw on a tshirt and a denim mini skirt (later I remembered that I was wearing very similar to what I wore on one of our very first dates and when I was begging/pleading he said what happened to that girl who wore the mini skirt when we went to xx I miss her)
We chatted and I was friendly. I was proud of myself for keeping it under control when he mentioned something about her pets. Then we went outside so he could show me how to use a piece of lawn equipment. While we were out there, he noticed the complete and utter mess I'd made of the extension cord. He did his whole disapproving face while he straightened it out. But he was being cute and I responded by being very cute and apologising and all big eyes saying I don't know how that happened honestly! He said this is you in your cutest voice basically saying It weren't me!
I brought up the event that I'm working at and said it was a shame that he couldn't go couldn't he go for an hour. He then said no, I can't because I have to go to F*cking (city) to see her f*cking parents so they can make f*cking american jokes. I was like oh....and then said so they make american jokes. And we talked about that...one more thing GF will never get because she's British. Then I said you could invent a mysterious illness or say S needed you. And he said I can't I already said I'd go. When he was leaving I impulsing reached out and gave him a hug it was nice.
Then he said your hair's looking great by the way. (which is very funny because I know I have better hair than her!) I said oh, thanks, I haven't had it done in awhile.
He said I'm already late so I better go. Then he was walking away and I said oh, I'll send you a picture of that event...and he goes yeah thanks and was laughing and I said you know you could sneak away and he said we'll see.
Another thing that was funny was that he didn't refer to her by name. Which he never did in the beginning, but then after they moved in he did. Instead when we were talking about S, he said "oh I can do this or that I mean I see him as my son, I'm not getting any pressure from (and he referred to her by the city where they live?!?!) about that." It also made me think that he IS getting pressure from her about time with me.
So all in all a very good interaction I think. It was certainly flirty at the end. I think my alter ego Xena only wears mini skirts HAHA!!!!
One of the things thatI love best about you and would like to emulate is that you are finding a way to have fun with this whole thing.
And it is sos true.. so many of our ditches are comical in some ways and if we are able to find the humor and laugh, it makes the whole thing not feel so big and overwhelming.
i think i want to find a powerful alter ego name too! i am going to start thinking about it, brit, i mean xena, warrior princess of the miniskirt

PS I wore a mini skirt to go shopping not long ago. I actually bought it for a costume for halloween and never wore it. STBX noticed it and asked if it was new. "Oh, this old thing?"
