Hey Lynn,

How was Aspen?

I seem to be settling in a post graduation routine okay. D15 is back in summer school, and D18 is busy lifeguarding and working on her tan. It's the calm before the storm... and XH is back traveling this week, which is par for the course. His travel schedule is a real obstacle for me.

On a positive note, D18 and I are doing Zumba together (except for this week, while X is traveling and don't have someone to watch D15). It's tough! But I feel better doing it, and it's way more fun to go with her than alone.

Then there's that extreme heat that absolutely saps my energy. I can't believe it's only June and we've already had 100 degrees and more on the way. It's not my happy place, if you know what I mean. While I love visiting Phoenix in the late fall and early spring, I wouldn't want to be there in summer. It feels like Phoenix lately.

I've got a slew of books to read, but just haven't mustered the energy to read. Need to get back on the bandwagon, especially the self help one. I was watching What Not to Wear last night, and realize that I've fallen into some traps some of the moms on that show have. I really need to make some conscious decisions not to enable that. While I would NEVER wear a t-shirt that says, "I'm Too Tired", I know I need to act like I'm not. grin At the very least, when D18 asks me if I want to walk with her and the dog, I always accept the offer... trying to keep some doors open here.

On the side, I'm planning my trip to NYC in the fall. My college roomie and I are meeting there (she's in Philly) and gonna celebrate 50 together. Turns out my D18 is in a volleyball tournament that weekend at NYU, so I'll be doing some really lovely things. Can't wait.

Take care and hope you have early tee time for the indefinite future.
