I agree that you should check and make sure your financial assets are okay, but I do not agree that you should call your lawyer.
You gave your H your word that you wouldn't call yet. Keep your word and hear him out when he gets back. You have waited this long, what is another day or so?
I am going to play devil's advocate again and ask the following:
As long as you have protected yourself, why can't you just sit back and watch what happens upon his return? Take your cues from his behavior - face-to-face. You are reacting to what could be assumptions.
I don't agree with his choice of actions, but take the high road and keep your word. You will know soon enough as to what your next move should be...
I am sure others will disagree with me, but it is just my opinion, based on what I know about you and your character from what you have written in the past on this BB.
