You have not failed anybody. You gave it all you had.. he failed.. By not realizing the incredible woman he had. He failed you himself and your daughter and he is the one who will have to live with that for the rest of his life. he is the coward that ran away... You on the other hand are the survivor... You stood your ground for what you thought was right... You have not failed... You just didnt get the results that you were looking for. But dont forget the results that still happened.. you are a stronger woman because of this. You have learned so much about what it means to be married and what it means to love someone.
