I told him I wanted to keep the money I came into the relationship (a fairly large amount) and I told him that I spoke to a lawyer who said that that was reasonable. He got angry and said we should split everything.

And then he said I have always been greedy and selfish and this made him less likely to ever want to reconcile with me.

I want to be able to take care of myself. He makes more money than I do, so I think it's fair for me to take more money. I came into the relationship with much more than he did.

And that was the problem. I was selfish this entire relationship. And I did it again.

SD I'm sorry to read about what just happened. That must have been really scary. Do you have a safe place that you could go to stay with someone else for a little while? Can you call anyone to come and get you if you don't feel safe? What your H did is not okay.

Please also do not feel that you are being petty and greedy about keeping money you brought into the M. Do not commingle it sith marital money - keep it separate and safe.

I neglected his feelings all of the time.
