So last night I was still at the ancestry stuff and just knew I had at least a queen in my line. Sure enough, King Edward the 1st of England. I am so excited. Just my 22nd great grandfather! lol I am having fun at this as if you couldn't tell.

With having international record acess it is $35. You can do it annually but it is a lot to put out front.
I did have a question about adoptions and genealogy. There are a couple of different takes on it. Some think it is only for pure blood lines while others see no issue with adoptions. Some people even do two trees, one for the biological and one for their family. I figure this is the only family I know. I don't know my biological mom, my dad was adopted and well my dad may not be my biological dad because my biological mom cheated on him. My ex was adopted as well. So blood relations, I have my kids that are mine. Does that mean I should discount all the family bonds? Me thinks not.
What do you guys think?

Well I know my dad isn't the only adopted person in our family tree and that certainly doesn't seem to matter much. We did an early Fathers day as the girls will be with the ex next weekend and my dad will be fasting to get ready for medical tests.
So while I was excited about the royal stuff my dad is like, "well technically none of them are family.". I deflated a bit but then thought to myself that he was the one always pushing that we are related to William Tecumseh Sherman, well isn't that the same thing?
It is fun for me, now I just don't have that many people to share it with.
