Yes, time to heal and let go..

I wonder if there are two phases to this grief.

One is letting go of the M...the day to day relationship, intimacy, the plans together, security, comfort, fun, memories.

And the second is letting go of the person... the fact that the person we love so deeply is okay apart.. does not need or want us in their lives.

And anger and bitterness can fuel and get us through the second part much easier, and quicker, but Val, that is not who you are...

and that makes this road harder and longer..

but also will maintain who you are...loving and compassionate and graceful...

and you will know that you have the strength to maintain those qualities despite anything life throws you now or in the future..

you are choosing to continue to grow, instead of finding a way to make this path easier.
