kml, The acne and bruising issues were when he lived w/me 13 years ago. He wasn't taking hormone replacement or DHEA when he was here. The photos that I've seen of him recently, it appears the acne has cleared up.

I had NO idea this thread would take on a life of its own focused on body odors:) It's another example of the craziness of the MLC life!
My x-BIL texted me this morning to say that his daughter was playing ball in the city and asked if I wanted to go. I said sure. I walk into the game and XH is their with his parents. He is sitting in the gym with his shoes off - texting the whole time. It was laughable.
I hugged my BIL and niece and left with no tears. This is progress for me:)

IB - the change in body smell: I think it is partly hormonal, but mainly I think it could be due to stress [which could bring about the hormonal changes too]
I have come to see a pattern in those who have MLC and they seem to be rather rigid people who do not deal well with changes and setbacks. In addition to childhood damage, I have noticed that many come from military backgrounds/families, or families with lots of rules. Change or setbacks stress them out to the point of parts of them 'shutting down'. Neurologically I suspect most of them move to their left brain hemisphere. Without good right hemisphere/left hemisphere communication, people operating mainly from their left brain hemisphere exhibit schizoid personality traits, a total absence of empathy, and an apparent personality change.
They are literally stressed out of their right mind. That could very well account for the change in body odour that so many of us have noticed.
