I noticed same. But I try to remember it's her way to deal with things. To be totally different.
The writing makes me laugh. It's more..childish and more like the "girl porn" books she reads. Even the OM is from a novel in some ways. Different smell. I've noticed that the change in looks has subsided last time I saw her. Not in a good way, but that's just me I think. I don't find her attractive but rather looks more like her mother than ever before. In the way she dresses, looks, etc.
For me, it's been differences all along. I could spot various of her friends in the behavior because they were new friends and new personalities.
Just one of the oddities we notice and likely her trying to find her way in life. I wish her well, but do sometimes laugh at the language and the absurdity
