Purg - how do these things get settled in the military? Your H's superior thinks his own W is your H's OW? This is probably how wars start.
Can you court martial someone for being a numbskull?
Purg - taking this trip now shows how the powers that be are there to help us.
in theory, an officer might get courtmartialed for an affair, but it usually has to have an aggravating factor (like extortion or coercion).
Remember Lieutenant Kelly Flynn, the first female combat pilot? She had an affair with a married enlisted man (his w was also enlisted and said "how can I compete with HER?")
and the Army discharged Kelly Flynn with an other than honorable discharge.
In 300 cases I had as a defense attorney, I had ONE adultery case and it was sex in exchange for favors, AND very differing ranks, so there were aggravating factors.
Not sure about the two men working together but seems to me that it's more of an "inter office" morale problem than a career one. Purg you do NOT have to tell your h this for sure.
And if OW's H is Important enough HE can hurt your h's career on the Off evaluation report. That's his safest way to hurt your h.
I DO understand the OW's desire to get back with her h. She wants security and money.
With your h, she'd lose some of that and have to share her new h...and maybe her ex h too....
and I'm not quite as sure of her h's abuse--or at least I think sometimes HE was onto something b/c I seriously do NOT believe
your bf JUST realized she had feelings for your h.
Her h knew the truth before you did. Keep on going as you are, be the better choice but let him make it on his own...
