Because of detours through small towns and speed traps... My 13 hour drive turned into 15. I'm so sore and tired!
I didn't make it home before the boys had fallen asleep H was still up, and said: "what's going on" as he was playing a video game (not exactly the welcoming I had hoped for) We talked for a few about the boys and plans for the weekend, then H left. He is watching a movie and crashing at his 'room' at the friend's house. He says it's because he wants to be able to sleep in tomorrow (and honestly, that's not really possible in our house with the boys and our animals.)
Try as I did not to have expectations- it still hurts that he leaves within 10 minutes of my arrival. No hug hello or good-bye, no 'glad to have you back'. He did seem to linger and looked depressed as he left- but didn't say anything and didn't change his mind.
You deserve a much better welcome home than that...sending u a virtual back and footrub!
Guess life is back to 'normal' around here. I'm going to try and have a nice breakfast with my babies in the morning.... IF I can drag my butt out of bed!
