It sounds like you did a great job containing yourself over the telephone. Bravo! Perhaps, it may be a good idea to leave the memory of that positive convo interaction in his mind, and implement your divorce-busting techniques. As "calling" once he offered to handle the matter via email, is not unlike pursuing. Correct me if I'm wrong, 180's might be useful in some situations like this.
