Can we create a poll to see how many hear that it is a " Hallmark Holiday" ???
The first V day after my bomb, I heard that so many times when I would make reference to it. That it was a scheme from the card companies to generate revenue.
I think that most of the WAS are so dis-illusioned with love , and most just don't believe in it anymore.
For a lot of you, it brings up some severe guilt within them, because they feel loyal to the OP during this time. And they feel that guilt because they know what they are doing is going against their promise of forever to the LBS.
Anything that you do to contribute to that, will drive a wedge there for a while.
Whatever you do, keep it light.
I still got the cards that I wanted to get. I signed them, put the date on them, sealed them up, and put them in a safe place. IF things changed down the road, then I would give them to her, so that she could see where my head was in loving her during this time.
What I gave to her then....
I made a kindergarten style card from red paper. On the inside, I wrote...
I cheated Hallmark out of $3 Happy Tuesday {or whatever day it was)
