I've been very busy at work, not much time to post.
I'm planning on leaving for Belize one week from tomorrow to go on my mission trip. REALLY looking forward to it.
Yesterday at this time I didn't have a whole lot to report. That usually means there's some sort of drama on the horizon.
Yesterday morning it was 32 degrees out and I got a 3 mile run in for my exercise.
Last night I had an interaction with my W. She came to pick up my S. We had a lot of ground to cover and very little time. There were some interesting things that came out of our conversation. First, we had to settle up on the financial end. She made a couple comments - one that it was awkward ( Seriously? This is only the tip of the iceberg if we D) and she just had to mention that she owed the L some paperwork with some numbers on it. (Ugh!) She said the L has been asking for some stuff but she hasn't gotten it to him yet. I guess at least it's not her #1 priority. Y'know - look at the positives, right?
We also briefly talked about her watching the dog while I was in Belize. She said she was thinking about staying at the house while I was gone. Not sure how I feel about that.
We also starting talking about my S's birthday. Since she bombed me last year 18 days before my birthday, I think she was more concerned with telling him we were getting a D than she was about celebrating his birthday last year. It's been a 180 of sorts for in that I've taken the lead thus far with the planning of it.
Had a great group meeting last night at church with my Relationships (aka Ladies') group. One of them brought up how much they appreciated me being part of the group because it's restoring their faith that there are good men out there. Frankly, that was very humbling. The feeling's reciprocated with them.
It was snowing this morning and it was 32 degrees. Not a good morning for a bike ride. I settled for a 2 mile walk.
Then, more minor drama with my W followed. I have agreed to be there in the morning to make sure my S gets on the bus. My W will drop him off around 8:30 so he can walk up to the bus around 8:40. Well, no sign of her at 8:30. 8:40 - nothing. The bus goes by. I hopped in the shower and got out - still nothing. School starts at 9:05. I ended up calling her a little bit after school started. I was a little ticked. She could've at least called. She was hung up in traffic. She actually apologized . However, there were several times she said I could've called her (Seriously? Actually I believe that's what I was doing at the time )
