OK Valentine's day. Go to the dollar store and buy heart confetti, big red plume thingies, and gift bags- 1 for each kiddo.
Then go buy them small things of candy, a cute little pink, white bear, and something you never let them eat for breakfast.
After they go to bed.... go down and sprinkle the confetti all over the table, set the plume thing in the middle, and set their gift bags with gifts at their seats, along with their breakfast.
then go to bed, and wake up to loving, happy, children.

If he gets you anything, say "wow, thanks that's so sweet. With everything going on, I just assumed Valentine's day gifts between us were a thing of the past". Smile, look over at your great loving children enjoying their surprise and let any disappointment drip off and fall to the floor.
Oh, and who said a Vegas trip????
