Btw, at the Meet D14 had a very disappointing experience. Scores are out of 12 and in Gymnastics you start at 12 and they deduct points throughout the routine. D was on the beam and apparently had 11.7, which is excellent, with only her dismount to do. She did her front tuck off the beam (a summersault) landed on her feet...lost her balance and fell on her butt, which has never happened before...ever. Any fall results in a 1 point deduction which basically kills you competitively. She ended up with 10.7. Without that one little little blip she would have finished third overall. On the bright side, she finished 2nd in Vault. I told SDA Lady about the fall and she said "at least she had you there for support, it's disappointing for her but she had her family around her" Filipinos are very, very family oriented...family is everything which is why divorce was so difficult for her. I think it's also the reason she is supportive of my "family time"...but that can change, as Barb mentioned! We'll see. D14 said in the parking lot "OK, let's put this behind us". She has one more Meet this year and they take the scores from the best two out of three Meets, so she still has a chance to go to Ottawa for the championships. It ain't over till it's over lol!
