I took my brother in for dental surgery today. While in the waiting area I got a text "Good morning, Whatis. Drive safely,the roads are snowy and slippery. Have a nice day!" My heart melted. She knew that I was going to be driving a lot today with my brother. I texted back to her "thx, ur are so sweet" and she replied "ur welcome, big brother lol!" My brain blew a gasket, I turned to my brother and said "she used the b word, I don't like the b word, it's a bad word!" so I texted back "kuya?" and she replied "Yes, you are a good kuya taking care of your little brother!" I then realized she was not referring our R, she was using it in the proper context in reference to me and my brother. I breathed a little easier. I said "I hope you noticed that I now use capitals and periods in my texts!" She said "Congrats Whatis, soon you will be a super texter!" We passed a few more texts and I oohed and awed and then we said goodbye. My brother turns to me and says "thanks to you and your gf I'm starting to look forward to this dental surgery!" We just seem to have that effect on people lol. Anyway, that's that!
