Oh yeah, I don't start concentrating on my diet again until 2JAN. Before that, it's just testing my resolve too much.

You want to lose 20? I HAVE to lose over 100. That or die much sooner than I should.

Good luck!

I went to STBX's to bring in the New Year with her and the kids. Here's the line of the night:

D17: I couldn't get to sleep last night, my room was so cold
STBX: You need to eat more chicken

Hey, at least she amuses me rather than annoys me now!

Well,it's New Years Day and I celebrated by contacting another lady. I've figured out that whenever I attach a photo, other than my profile picture, the stupid program attaches a rose which reads "be mine" How friggin' embarrassing! I just now follow up quickly with another email apologizing for the rose and declining all responsibility for it's attachment lol. New rule #1 attach no pictures. "Be mine"...I might as well just write "ur so hot!" and come off as a complete idiot! But if I follow rule #1 how can I attach pictures of my package...hmm, women expect that of you, don't they lol. I read a profile by one woman today and at the bottom she wrote "Addendum: Could you possibly attempt to get to know me a little before bringing up the subject of sex. It would be so appreciated"

Today was cleaning day! the Chinese tradition is that you clean your house for New years, sweep out the old and let the new come in. I just did it 'cuz I couldn't stand it anymore lol!" Tonight it is New Years dinner at STBX's with her and the kids and later...watch the Giants kick the crap out of the Cowboys! Later Dbers.

OMG, she liked the stupid rose! I said "Wow, that makes me wish I'd actually sent it intentionally lol" She says we can be "friends", whatever that means. The game continues.

Strange, I wrote a reply on your thread earlier but I don't know what happened to it. So I'm going to try this again. smile

That is funny about the rose. I would totally think it was overkill and the guy would probably freak me out a bit - you gotta love the online dating thing. lol

I definitely could use that Chinese tradition thing here at my house, but I opted to take a nap instead. Oh well...so much for bringing in the New Year correctly. I did go out and enjoy a movie and dinner though...does that count?

Yeah, she said "yup, I really liked it!" I replied "I'm much better at sending romantic poetry than virtual roses...but you'll have to wait for that!" So, we've been emailing though the day and we're learning about each other. I went out for the afternoon and let her know we could continue our chats later. Rambo Lover seems very nice, responsive and considerate. I'm enjoying our little chats. Soon I'll hit her up for the coffee date...no rush though.

I think you're handling it well moving slowly. I don't claim to be an expert, but with the on-line dating that I have had...moving slowly worked well. I was never disappointed when we finally did meet.

I started with the online chatting and then eventually a phone call. Then we met for something low-key. Coffee is good.

The guy I dated for four years, RC, (the reason I am back on here), that is how we started. There were others too who turned into relationships and one is still a great friend. So I know it can work.

Sounds like you have the right frame of mind.
