That's great! You can be very proud. You are a terrific dad and one who has done extremely well with co-parenting. You can be a great role model for others here who are thinking of going that route.

Thanks Barb, my girls have thrived despite what happened to their parents marriage. Both Voldy and I make a point to tell them we love them every single day. We aren't perfect parents but we do our best with what we've got. When people say there is no God, I look at my girls and say to myself "there must be" otherwise how could two such amazing blessings have been bestowed on me!
Not nuts at all. KML and SunFunOne have covered the bases. I am currently engaged to a man who lives almost 4000 miles away. {The long distance goes away in 19 days when I move to be with him!} We have been together for over 4 years now. It can be done and I could do 45 minutes with my eyes closed. I say see what there is to see with this sweetheart. You will never know unless you try. Good luck!

Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear. {Henry Wadsworth Longfellow}
Maybe the best relationships really are the ones where you never see each other lol! Hey, yesterday, on a late night whim, I emailed hi-tech weapons lady asking her about her interest in such weapons and war movies. I didn't really expect to get a reply but she's actually sent me a really well thought out and detailed response to my questions. She worked on a U.S. air base in Saudi Arabia at one time. She used to watch war movies with her Dad and told me her favourites. She talked about how she loves to read about Nazi Germany and how that came to be etc. She can even tell you what weapons she finds interesting and why. Holy smokes! She likes Tom Clancy, has all his books and enjoys John Grisham. I actually like this lady. I am continuing the correspondence. I'm trying to stay away from the Filipino ladies but wow, this one is interesting...and still has great legs!
OMG, she considers the Apache helicopter to be the "ultimate flying machine"...and likes the F-15 a lot too. This is too freaky! I've initiated a discussion of Mein Kamph...I also have a book that is a collection of Hitler's early speeches from the 1920's & 30's, it's dated 1941...maybe I'll let her touch it sometime if she's really nice to me. lol Btw, she also has other interests such as gardening, cross stitching etc She says a lot of guys think she's a bit odd for having interests in war etc. I wrote "I don't consider you odd, you are unique! It's great to be able to present yourself as you really are, it shows pride and self respect" Well, at least I'm having fun again lol!
One of my best friends just fb'd me to tell me her bf of six months just dumped her...by text. What a gutless a-hole! I told her to call me but she says she just wants to "wallow in it tonight". Fair enough. Aren't R's fun!
Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful New Year! That doesn't mean a fantastic celebration, it means a new beginning. The beauty of life is that we can begin anew each and every minute, New Years gives us that realization with a great big gut punch lol. My plan for 2012, not a resolution, is to lose 15 -20 lbs. Four years ago I achieved a 100lb. weight loss even before New Years arrived...but then that was my wife. This loss should be a lot easier to achieve in comparison! Happy New Year to all!
