H and OW burst into song together singing in the car and that is how I busted their asses. I said: Are you two f-------- kidding me?"
My anthem righ now: "Holding on to What I Haven't Got" by Linkin Park. Maybe it should be banned.
And it seems many Christmas songs are sad. And pretty much ALL country......
Maybe we hear sad when we are sad?
There is a song called "This Place Su---" by The Queers. 57 seconds long. I dare anyone who is sad to play it 10 times in a row and not end up laughing!
Merry Christmas!
Great Thread!

My W and I used to laugh about "Lips of An Angel," calling it the "A-Hole Song"...how ironic that she ended up in the same situation as the narrator. :P
I really got into B.B. King during my sitch. Seems like every other song of his is about a bad break-up or a cheating lover, or both. Yet he never wallows in his pain -- he just expresses it in that soulful voice of his. He's in his eighties and he can still rock the house.
I suggest NO LBSer listen to "I Can't Make You Love Me" for a solid year...
Other nominees would be "If You Leave Me Now",
"Breaking Up is Hard to Do"
"Can't Live, IF living is without You" Several Linda Ronstadt songs come to mind.
"You're No Good", "Faithless Love", & "I It Doesn't Matter Anymore"...
Bob Dylan's
"It Ain't Me, Babe"
"One More Cup of Coffee" and "I Threw it All Away" Neil Young's
"Only Love Can Break Your Heart" and "Helpless"
Garth Brooks/Billy Joel's "SHameless" is a passionate sad one..
Alternatively you DO listen to these songs, turn lights down low and light some candles and go with it...GRIEVE
and cry your eyes out and THEN after awhile...a couple hours at most...you
SNAP OUT OF IT!
Or not...
Have a peaceful holiday and force yourself to watch a comedy if you're feeling super low. OR get some sleep. Rest is under rated and much needed...
Blessings!

Listen to Adele's "Someone Like You" if you want a painful passionate and REAL song --
a song that tells you the singer has been INSIDE a sad situation
AND she survived it...like we all can.

Maybe because I'm feeling a little sorry for myself tonight... I thought it might be fun to start a thread and see what songs people absolutely want banned from the radio/internet because they just rip open the feelings about our sitches too much...
