My anniversary was in Oct and I ignored it because I didn't want to seem in pursuit. He ignored it too but that didn't surprise me.

Know that a lot of us are thinking about you today and hopeing for better days ahead.

Hey Gunny!

My sleep comes from Ambien. Which I hate taking, but when I get going I just don't sleep.

Funny thing about depression. I did figure out it is like the tide. Sometimes it comes in fast and scares me a bit, but I always remember that it ebbs and I will be okay.

I also wanted to comment on the anniversary card. You did handle that very well.

On my last anniversary my H gave me a card that said "Couldn't forget the date" and signed it "Love". Then the next day reminded me he still planned on divorcing me. Kinda made me fell horrible. And reinforced to me that I really don't have a clue to his thinking. I hadn't discovered DB yet.

Keep up the good work!

Wndy

Hello W.
Thanks for posting and the good words. Thats interesting that he sent a card, but I guess par for the course for this business.

If I could just get this sleep under control, half my battle would be won. Just got back from my 2nd accupuncture treatment, very, very relaxing. There is a great deal of research showing that acc, coupled with psychotherapy and sometime anti depressents can be very effective for depression.

Hope you have a good day,

Gunny

Hi Gunny the lack f sleep really is a problem. I have been taking melotonim for about 3 weeks and it really helped. getting about 6 hrs uninterrupted. This is really hard stuff and I hope you are feeling your best. Hang in there

Melatonin has worked for me too, better than Xanax.

hello folks,
Not much going on over the last few days, did receive a nice phone call from w yesterday morning, thanking me for my thoughtful card that I sent commemorating our anniversay. Good conversation, upbeat. Truthfully, I did not expect to get any calls, it was a pleasant surprise.

Hello 25,
Thanks for your input on AC'S thread. My IC actually suggested meds a couple of months ago, I have resisted using them, but finally decided a week ago to follow her advice. Thanks for your comments, I appreciate them! Have a good holiday!

Gunny, I'm glad you had a nice conversation with your W. Hang on to it as a small positive, but keep your expectations low key. Be prepared for any upcoming pull-backs. Hopefully it will be something you can build on in the future.

Great news about the phone call, Gunny. Baby steps, as a friend of mine told me yesterday. I too hope it's something you can build on. If nothing else, hopefully the pleasant surprise brightened your day.

Also, very interesting posts about the mealtonin. I sleep alright myself, but it's something I could suggest to my walking-away-wife, who has never slept well...
