hershey's book is fantastic. I recommend it to my later european history classes. I love it.

Also, you should read, if you haven't, Elie Wiesel's Night.
Powerful isn't the word. It's amazing. And Frankl's Man's Search for Meaning. Those all give us a dose of perspective on our own lives!!!
