KG-

Your post is exactly what I needed to read.
Thank you for that.

Sometimes when I am down, I do go back and read some of my old posts to remind me of how far I have come.
I am going to pop into your sitch as well.

Journaling---

Today turned out to be a pretty good day.
I had my nephew & niece over for a bit so my S and BIL could go to a movie together.
My S10 loves having them over and he was a big help.
2 kids under the age of 3 are exhausting! I don't know how people can do it!

I am glad to hear today was a better day! Enjoy the christmas lights. I am sure with snow it feels more like a holiday, that is the one bad thing about Florida it is very hard to get into the Christmas spirit it is still warm and sunny. Wish we could have snow for just 1 day a year.

Paige we don't have any snow. It did snow last weekend a bit but it all melted over the course of the week.
I hate snow, hate commuting in the snow..all of it.
Yes it's pretty at Christmas time but that's it!
I'd much rather live in FL that's for sure. smile

We had a great time with the kids. I am so thankful for S10's help. He loves kids and will make a fantastic babysitter some day.
The kids wore me out though. Even the puppy collapsed after they left she was so tired.

Did some major cleaning today also. My parents are coming for dinner tomorrow night and they haven't been here in a few years. They don't even live far away, my mom just had huge anxiety when it comes to traveling.

I told them after my place was spruced up I'd like to have them over for dinner and they agreed.

It's 8pm on Sat night, my place is clean, and I'm going to chill for the rest of the night.

DG why don't we switch with Paige? Let's let her have the snow and we take that evil sun and warmth? She deserves a good time away from Florida. just a thought.

Dinner with my parents went pretty well for the most part.
My Mom is the type of person who cannot help but criticize something. This time it worked to my benefit, she said my fridge was too bare and took me to the grocery store. smile

I told the kids next time she comes over we should hide the furniture. wink

DG,
Glad you are doing better after the holiday. What you wrote pretty much summned up my feelings.
The FB thing. I have not been on my w's page for months, dont want to know what she is doing, it helps me with my detachment, and I dont want to be surprised with any revelations. Probably a good decision on your part to refrain from looking.

Havent been to Wisconsin since I did some training at Fort MCcoy back in the 90's. How far are you from there?
Enjoy the day!
Gunny

Glad to see dinner went well. I agree, hide the furniture. Then the following time you may come up with a clever plan to hide the home itself!
