Well this is interesting.

My XMIL is at a retirement home in town but she and XW are somewhat estranged and rarely speak.

I hadn't spoken to XMIL myself since last summer when she called to briefly wish me a HB.

So yesterday, she called me, sounding distressed. Apparently she found out about the D thru the rumor mill. I didn't offer anything more than a few words of comfort and thanks for her support.

I find it odd though that XW never even mentioned it to her own mother. That's just fvcked up.
