I just walked away as I felt it was better to say nothing. Should he still love me or should it be so hard to let me go he'd make the choice to be with me which he didn't.. So what's there to say?
Bravo! And if he starts to tell you again how much he misses you, tell him a man who really missed you would kick his mistress out, go to counseling to fix his problems, and demonstrate his good intentions. End of discussion.
But don't get too sucked in. Lots of times they just wish they could have continued having their cake and eating it too.
As for your fridge - dust off the coils. And make sure all the doors seal tight. That may solve your problem.
