Well, Whatis in into his second day of the online dating world. So far I've had no bite from my target, such is life, but have had two other women contact me...neither of which interested me. One tried to online chat with me so I thought I'd better put an end to this now. I had to decide how to deal with this because I hate rejecting people but...So, I decided rather than just hit "delete" I'd message them and say "thanks for the interest. All the best in your search for that special someone :)" I just think that if someone has the courage to express an interest then a courteous reply is only right. I know some women have said that they don't respond that way anymore 'cuz some guys take it poorly. Right now it's just an experiment that doesn't cost me anything. At break I told my two co-workers, who I hang out with now since MM is gone, and one said "You're very courageous Whatis. It's only been a month since MM, and I know that hit you hard, but you've come to terms with it and you're moving on, I'm proud of you" Well, I'm doing my best and it was a really nice thing to hear! Now, should I just sit back and be selective or should I send out a whole bunch of messages to people that interest me and see if I get any responses. I actually like composing these messages. Women say that's what they want from a man, they don't want "Hi, how's it going" but want to know you sat down, thought about who they might be and spent some time on them. I like doing that. It's kind of fun thinking of what I might write to a lady. I'll probably end up doing nothing. We'll see. I'm just fine tuning my profile page right now and we'll see where that leads, if nowhere I'm OK with that too! Online dating...what the hell am I thinking!
