Deb: Yep - they have Wanderlust. Mine was never happy. Always wanted better. I remember building our first house and on moving day I said "I love this house - they can bury me in the backyard"to which he replied "oh no- this is just a step - to bigger and better" - that sure killed the moment. I also remember a night when I was pregnant with our first child and he said "I can't sleep tonight unless I know I can have a Lincoln Continental someday". Can you say INSANE???? He is far better with someone else.
Josh sent me flowers at my hotel last night. Surprised me so much. Such a great guy!
And the big news is - I bought a condo in Florida this week. Haven't even seen it. Going to see it tommorrow and hopefully move in next week. Vacation home. SO EXCITED! It was a lifelong goal for me. (I DID see photos and had been searching for a while). It is brand new!
Initially I think we dated to see if it would take the pain away but for me - it just added to it.
There is no way around the pain and grief - you just have to go through it. But you WILL survive. Then you are ready to find someone new if that is your choice.
IT is in Fort Myers, close to Sanibel which I adore. I have always wintered in Orlando (timeshare for a few weeks each year) but I wanted to be closer to the beach and go to Disney for a few days here and there. I am SO excited. Trying to buy things and stuff them in my rental van and arrange furniture etc. Stressful but fun.
Really excited for you and Josh on the new winter condo. I grew up on the Gulf Coast a bit farther north (Clearwater / St. Petersburg) and two of my sisters still live in the area.
I suspect the two of you will make some wonderful memories there...

The condo is ground level beside the pool with 3 bedrooms. The plan is so that we can bring Ryan. He is now more handicapped - needs lifts, a hospital bed etc. This condo can be adapted. I also want to get an aqua lift for the pool. We can take him to Disney a few days at a time.
I am going to see it tommorrow and just can't wait.
