Today my 7 year D asked me why I was mad at her dad's "friend" coming around the house. Apparently that is the reason he gave her for his "friend" not coming by the house anymore. I did ask him to stop bringing women over until I moved but I don't think he should have told her it upset me. If anything it will backfire on him more than me because she will remember this and eventually put 2 and 2 together and figure out why I was upset. That will probably make him look bad. So anyway I've decided it is not my issue and I will not be bringing it up with him.
I bought my new house today! Only moved a couple of things but put up some Halloween decorations so my daughter would start to feel like it is home. Should be completely moved in the next 2 weeks. Then no more exh sharing a driveway!
How is the thought redirection going for you? I had some luck with that. When I would start to get angry or something would happen that would send me into a tailspin I would step back, take a deep breath, count to 10 while repeating "This is not going to have control over me." It worked.....most of the time.

The thohgt redirection usually works unless my exh is physically present-than not so much. I've started moving stuff to the new place. Its eciting and sad at the same time.
I've moved three times in three years. I've been in this house for a year now and hope to be here a couple more. Moving [censored] even if it's a good thing.

Thanks to everyone for the replys. Right now I'm buried alive in boxes of stuff. I would like to be out on Friday but after going through just my D's room I'm like what the heck? I've taken over to the new house most of the stuff from the pantry(dry goods and a huge bookcase full of cookbooks), the stuff from the bathroom, and two closets full of camping gear and holiday decorations. Still need to do the kitchen, the office, my clothes closet, the living room, plus the stuff in the garage I'm taking which includes my grandma's things from when she went into a nursing home. I can't get rid of her stuff because she rehabbed and went back to her assisted living. She needs most of it back but I don't know what until I get a chance to go through it.I still need to paint two rooms and put up shelves and rods because the bedrooms don't have closets. I love the place but it definitely has quirks! My dad will be here Monday night to help and I am getting help on Friday to move from some guys at church.
So tired. Can't wait to be done moving but it is showing progress. My furniture is getting moved on Saturday, it is all set up. Just moving small stuff right now. Moving in Saturday even if there is still some stuff left here at the old house. I will just come back to finish packing on Sunday.
Well, its time to pack up the computer. So I will be offline until Tuesday when my cable and internet are turned on at my new address. Take care everyone.
I'm back. Finished moving everything, just need to find a place for it all. I'd say I have about 75% of my stuff put away. I really like my new house. Can't wait to finish organizing so I can do some of the asthetics, like replacing light fixtures and put up curtains. Side note, I went to the old house this morning to see my dad who stayed there a couple of days because this place didn't have tv or a place for him to sleep. The exh had someone visiting him at 8am(probably an overnight guest) right in front of my dad. So that just shows how little respect he has for me or my family. I'm tired of dealing with him.
