I had a couple of interviews with two contractors here in Albuquerque on Thursday. They both went really well, especially the first one. They have already followed up with me a couple of times. They were calling my references, so that is a good sign.
After the interviews I picked my kids up from school. Always a good deal. I had this older lady come up to me to give me the nicest compliment as she watched me hug and kiss my S5. She said, "That little boy is lucky to have a dad like you. I saw how affectionate you were with him. We need more dads like you." WOW, I thanked her for the nice compliment. You never know who is watching.
We went swimming that night, on Friday we went roller skating and the Casting Crowns "Come to the Well" tour and on Saturday night we went to the Balloon Fiesta glow. Quite the weekend of GAL.
Let me update my sitch... So I have a flight scheduled out of Albuquerque this morning @ 5:30. I had made arrangements with one of my friends to drop me off. Well, coincidentally my W is scheduled to fly out on business @ 6, so she offers to give me a ride.
Given how early our flights are, it didn't make sense for me to spend the night @ my friend's house, so she told me that I was more than welcome to sleep @ her house. "Thinking to myself...hmmm..interesting". It gives me the opportunity to spend more time with my kids, so I am down with it.
Yesterday my W came to pick us up @ the hotel so we could go to church. While I went to checkout, she loaded the kids into her car. When I got to the car, she was sitting in the passenger seat. Another interesting twist. Yes, I usually would do the driving while we were M, but I figured since we are separated she would treat me as any other friend. I did all of the driving, including to the airport this morning. All I can say is, "interesting".
Well on are drive in this morning, she brought the D and the need to let our kids know. I suppose to be clear with them as they are asking her questions. Kind of a surprise given her behavior. She also brought up the status of the proceedings. I let her know that I am holding off until my job situation clears up.
