Have had a pretty good weekend, despite H being on my mind a lot.
S10 participated in a triathlon, which was swimming 200m, 2.5 mile bike ride, and then ran a half mile. He finished in 38.18 which I think is pretty amazing. S15, myself, their Dad & Step Mom went to cheer him on.
He didn't place, but that doesn't matter. He did it and that is what counts.

After we got home, S15 went to help his gf & her family move, so S10 & I went to the new coffee bistro since it was their grand opening. He won a $10 gift certificate and he was pretty stoked.
Didn't do much for the evening, watched a movie & went to bed early.

This morning I met a friend for coffee, then the kids & I went to the apple orchard. It is a beautiful day and the place was packed. We picked our own apples and pet the animals. (I absolutely adore goats.)
Now we're home, I have dinner in the crock pot and am doing some domestic duties.

I guess life has to go on......

Dinner turned out awesome. Both the kids loved it and said they would like me to make it again. Yay! I love family dinner time.:)

They went back to their Dad's tonight, and I always feel kind of sad when they go. Probably because I have an empty house.

It's H's bday today. Of course I had a dream about him last night. I've had dreams the past 2 nights.

Anyway, I don't want to ignore him on his bday, so I sent him a msg via FB last night. It was simple, all it said was "HB tomorrow, I hope you have a good day." And left it at that. I don't expect him to respond nor am I hopeful that he will.

That's a good approach, DG. If you get a simple "Thank you" consider that one in the win column.

Journaling-

My day is going pretty good.
I was reading a magazine and found a line in an article that I really liked. It said "There's no sense in predicting what's around the bend. It's more fun to be surprised."

I'm going to remind myself of that when I have one of my down moments.

I had a pretty good day. Work kept me busy, thankfully I love my job. I sometimes get stressed and overwhelmed with all I have to do, it has a lot to do with my borderline OCD, but I have really been trying to relax and stay focused.
At the end of the day, everything will be off my desk and I have to keep that in mind.

Went for a walk after work with a friend, I live for beautiful evenings like this. I'm going to spend my night relaxing on the couch.

I wanted to post to you yesterday but have been swamped at work. Have been thinking of you and sending you lots of positive thoughts.

Glad you had a great night! Hope tonight is a great one also.
