Hi Zoo!

I think it helps that CJ is well aware of the value of using "I" statements and it's not something either of us overuse, that's for sure!! (meaning I think it's something we need to do MORE of).

I'm not sure why using "I" statements judiciously would lend the impression of "self centredness".

SURELY it's better than attacking the other person with "YOU" statements!!!

Hi Shiny

I just wanted to stop by and say thanks for posting on a question I posted in piecing a few weeks ago. You really reaffirmed what I was thinking and it helped a lot. Things are still up and down but I really just wanted to say thanks. You are so cool.

Thanks also for posting in Newcomers about the book you recently read regarding infidelity. I haven't read it yet but I'm guessing it will be very helpful for me. Thanks again. Hope you two are feeling better. You did a great job diffusing that argument, you should be on the bomb squad!

Hi Shiny,
I'm asking all vets to come visit me on my thread in midlife. I'm about to chance the way I interact with my hubby and would like some advise.
Thanks
Briget

Hi Shiny. Good job on going back to the basics! I hope you are feeling better too. We have a stomach virus attacking our home...had to take my son to the ER this am for fluids! Poor little guy. He was so brave though.

Hope CJ is better too.

Hi Everyone!

Yes the cold/flu thing has passed...

We had quite an emotional evening a week ago Saturday, I may post on that at a later date...suffice it to say that in the heat of an argument I mentioned the "D" word... ...And CJ tasted some of what I went through last year... ...quite frankly I was miserable.

But since then things have been good...made lots of changes to the house...more to come. Enjoying working on our projects together, more closeness.

Now to catch up on a thread or two....

Hello Shiny,

My journey is changing and I want to thank you for all the help and inspiration you have been in my life!

You, Cal, and Sage have been with me from the beginning and the 3 of you plus lots of other wonderful people here have had a huge impact on my life over the past year.

I can never express all the gratitude I have for you and the rest of the bb for all the help, encouragement, advice and support I have received!

Shiny,
I read what you posted on Tal's thread and came straight here to get the juicy parts! ... only to see this teaser ...

Quote:

I may post on that at a later date...

Really, I'm glad to here you seem to recover from it tho, but I must ask, did the episode help any in getting any closer to your goals? If not stay away from a repeat episode. If so, I would like to hear the impact or how it made a difference. There's been a couple of times of late, where it has crossed my mind if I I should shake things up in a similar fashion?

'til later,
KAW
