Journaling----

Today is turning out to be a great day!
Landlord stopped over earlier to give me the details about my new carpet, then I deep cleaned this place. I even cleaned behind the refrigerator! I rearranged some things in my kitchen and it looks pretty good.

After that I went to the library, but stopped at a thrift sale first. I'm so glad I did because I got a near brand new Columbia winter jacket for myself foe $5!! It is in excellent shape! I need another jacket like I need a hole in the head but for that price how can I say no? I'm going to be very stylish this winter. smile

At the library I messed around on the computer a bit, logged on to fb (I don't get why everyone hates the changes so much) and then picked up my DVD that I had reserved.

I told the boys that I am starting a tradition that Sunday evenings are family dinner time and every Sunday, no matter what, we will eat together.
Yes we eat together more than that, but it will be more special, because we don't have any running we have to do or anything.
Tomorrow night I'm making Italian beef sandwiches in the crock pot. It has been a long time since I've made them and I am looking forward to it.

Congrats on the awesome score on the jacket! I agree, how could you pass that deal up? I firmly believe that when we look good, we feel better. Just think of that jacket as a heck of a deal on some good therapy!

I like the idea of Sunday family dinners, too. We have a tradition of breakfast for dinner on Sunday nights. We are going a million different ways during the work & school week, so I value that time when we can all come together. Your sandwiches on the menu sound even better than that Quiznos one you mentioned!

Good job on GAL today. Keep going, one day at a time. You have lots of people in your corner.

love and hugs, lc4

Thanks IC, that means a lot.

I love having breakfast for dinner! It seems to taste better when it's for dinner.

And don't get me started on that sandwich from Quiznos. It was so good!

A beautiful Sunday today. The sun is shining and the temp is in the low 60's. A perfect fall day.

I have been taking it easy this morning, finished watching my season on DVD, got dinner going in the crock pot, and am now relaxing with a book and hot chocolate at the new coffee bistro in town.
I hope this place takes off, every business that has been in this building has gone out of business so I think it's cursed.

I was really missing H last night and was thisclose to breaking down and texting, but I didn't. I'm proud of myself for that.

Glad you are having a wonderful Sunday! Keep building on those positives.

Good work on not texting H. If/When your H wants to make the move back to you.. he will. They say nothing will hold them back if they make that realization.

Yes it sukks that it isn't happening now.. but texting him would just say you aren't worth the effort and that is simply not true. We all deserve someone who will put their BS aside to be in our lives, in our marriage. We can help them by keeping the road home paved and smooth.. but at the end of the day.. they need to turn on the car and commit to the drive.

I don't anticipate him wanting to make that drive any time soon but I've pretty much accepted it for what it is.

I have a "new" normal for me right now.

One of my S10's friends has a Dad who is single and he has made hints about being interested, but I'm just not. Don't get me wrong, he is a great guy and he is raising his kids alone since their mother walked out on them, and I can tell he wants a woman he can settle down with.
He made a comment tonight that his son wants him to be with a woman like me. Talk about uncomfortable!

Any way, S10 got himself a new pet tonight. She is an albino rat with red eyes and her name is Ginger. She's a sweetheart.
People sometimes can't believe that I adore rodents as much as I do.
They are cute little varmits.

H was always adamant that we could not have a rat.
Well, H isn't here so his opinion is no longer necessary.

You are a braver woman than me! I'd be terrified of that red-eyed rat! I bet all of your son's friends are going to think you are the coolest mom ever!

AMEN, AND GOOD FOR YOU! So glad you had a happy weekend. Here's to a great week!

DG, I'm glad you had a good weekend GAL'ing. You said you'd find something to do and you delivered. I'm also glad you avoided texting your H last night when you were missing him.

Exhausted this morning. I've developed a sinus headache which made it hard for me to sleep. I wish it wasn't Monday.
I want to hide under my blankets and go back to sleep.

Hope everyone has a good day.

Hello from the land of DG.

I have a confession to make. I've been obsessing over the cell phone records AGAIN. Even went as far as having a friend call some numbers I didn't recognize. I know this will require something much bigger than a 2x4.

Today I told my friend that if I ever asked her to do this again to tell me no, even if I beg her just one more time.
I don't know why I insist on torturing myself this way. This seems to be the only thing I still struggle with...

Ok...give it to me straight.....
