IF by chance it was your wife in the minivan and IF she saw you and IF she mentions to you that you she saw you, asks you why you were "following her" (as she would only see things that way, having a guilty conscience and all), etc., then simply tell her the truth.... You saw her car when coming back from dinner, was concerned something was wrong because the store was closed, the parking lot was pretty much empty, it was raining and you wanted to make sure if it WAS her car she wasn't stranded or needed help of some sort. She can take that for what it's worth, but in my opinion after getting to know you through the boards and from what you wrote that happened, that is the truth!
Thanks for that as usual, lc4. There ARE a lot of IFS there. It could be the two vehicles were not linked at all. Not that it's impossible. My W's car was kind of isolated the the van was at least three rows over and in the main part of the parking lot. There were still several cars in the lot in that part of the parking lot. I may have very well let my irrational paranoia get the best of me. But you're right, I can just lean on the truth. TBH, it was part curiosity, part concern. I really didn't that would be her car. When she left the house, she said she was going to help out her a female friend (I've met her) that was going through a rough time. So she may have just met up there and ditched the car, and that's all it was.
