Still, the LBS always wonders what it would be like to be a fly on the wall...

Nice that you got that opportunity...

Now put that hope back in the box... believe this is probably a temp check... and fogit'bout't...

Oh, I don't think it's anything at all (the conversation). But I try not to be in the room when they're on the phone, since I'm not interested in the conversation.

However, I would have to say that H sends me email at least every other day, if not every day, and at least 70% of it is pointless stuff I don't need to know - it just feels contrived.

I'm not speculating as to *why* he's doing it, but guh! For someone who I used to have to beg to even *read* my emails, let alone respond, he's doing a lot of initiating - I suspect he's trying to come to terms with my going dark.

H picked S7 up on time this morning - 8am. Didn't even look at me (as far as I could tell through the sunglasses).

Still sometimes can't believe that the person I thought I knew could throw everything away for someone he met online and has only "known" a few short months.

Guess he's not the person I thought I knew.

Ok, definitely a "down" day. Oh well, best to just power through and wait for an upswing.

Did not manage to get to Ikea today - not up to it. Did get the weekly shopping done at Trader Joe's - got some awesome heirloom tomatoes. I also put my license plates on my car (they finally came!) - my 'friend' from work had offered to, but I'd rather do stuff myself. I did managed to cut my hand on the screwdriver. Not sure how that happened.

And I cleaned out the fridge.

So, basically, par-tay!

Not feeling nearly as upbeat as I sound, though.

I hear ya girl. My H is nothing like the man I knew either.

And as far as this OW, you & I both know that jumping out of the frying pan into the fire rarely ever works. He likes feeling the butterflies, and the newness of this R, but we know those feelings do not last forever.

Thanks, DG - I wish neither of us were in this boat, but I am glad to know I'm not alone.

The biggest problem I have is that I hate not knowing what is going to happen. I can play out the likely scenarios in my head, but .. they're just likely. I can't know.

Drives me crazy.

But you do know what is going to happen. The sun will rise everyday, you will get up everyday and live your life for you - and your son - and over time you will love again, and be loved again - we just don't know who it will be loving us.

Good point, Julz.

H brought S7 home on time tonight - he's very good at being punctual where S7 is concerned, which I do appreciate it.

We spoke briefly about the Open House at S7s classroom tomorrow - he asked if I wanted him to come by and get S7 and I said no, I'd bring him. He told me to text him if something changes and I need him to get S7.

I was polite and cordial, but not overly chatty, and more just happy to see S7.

All in all, a reasonable exchange.

Spent some time talking with my friend T tonight. He's .. very firm in his convictions that H is behaving in a selfish and entitled way. I can't disagree, but .. I don't even know. Just trying to take it day by day, I guess.

Have to spend an hour with H at an Open House for S7 today.

Wish me luck.
