This is what I told my XW about a year before we were actually divorced.....

While I do not ever want to go through what I have been through for the last 7 months, I can honestly say that it is the best thing to have happened to me, as an individual, in my entire life. I will stop short of saying thank you but rather I will say that I am thankful for the journey and the experience and the things I have learned about myself.

I know you have also learned much about yourself also and I too am proud to call you one of my friends.

I hope this gives you peace in moving forward with your life and to enjoy it and make the most of it everyday.
